The 1960s produced some magnificent new Floribunda roses, particularly red and orange flowered varieties. Bred in the Netherlands by De Ruiter in 1963, and introduced in 1968, 'Europeana' is a great example of a Floribunda Rose from this era.

The Society aims to encourage, improve, foster and extend the cultivation and appreciation of the Rose.

The Society conducts meetings, shows, demonstrations and other activities both in Adelaide and in the country through branches located in the Riverland, South East and Eyre Peninsula. A branch has been established in the Northern Territory and meets in Darwin.
A fifth branch of the Society has now been established in the
northern area (north of Gawler) - Roses in the Heartland.
